Champagne

If someone offers me a glass of Champagne I would never turn it down, but as a wine buyer this area throws up numerous challenges. The main one is the cost, so many of the big commercial names are now over £30.00 and a great deal of them can’t really justify it in our eyes, especially when you have such good quality in the traditional sparkling wine market.

We choose to work with only two producers. The first is Bollinger as we have the upmost respect for what they do and the quality is out of this world. The second is a lovely small producer called Bauget Jouette. They have been around since 1822 and their Champagne’s are elegant and structured. Small producers are what we are about and this family fits neatly into our portfolio.
