Description:

This is predominently Tempranillo with a little Graciano and Garnacha. The vineyard are all over 45 years old, planted in clay-limestone at 650m +. Great concentration and depth of flavours.

 Producer Profile:

Proelio is the essence of modern Rioja. the vineyards are situated at almost 800m above the sea and orientated towards the north. This is really high for Rioja and results in a cooler season and a lot more effort.

Wine is vinefied with indigenous yeast and all parcels are vinefied seperately.  Proelio means battle in Latin and is a refrence to all the hard work in difficult conditions that these wines are made in.
